Vertical grinding mill is an important cement machine for the cement milling system, but because of the high hardness of material (such as steel slag, limestone, etc.) and corrosive characteristics, grinding roller and other parts are easily worn and impacted during crushing and grinding process. At the same time the workpiece itself is poor in wear resistance which causes short service life then seriously affecting the normal production. Traditionally, domestic cement production plants usually switch spare parts to ensure production, but it is bound to result in waste of money and time.
In the mid-90s of last century, the European development and promotion the vertical mill grinding roller and plate on-line surfacing repair technology to solve the problems of roller and plate poor wear resistance and short service time during vertical mill production, also to reduce production costs, and reduced unnecessary downtime.
The hardness of the impurities in the material has an important impact for the wearing of grinding roller and plate, different materials with different wearing degree causes different workpiece service life. Therefore, the main method of grinding roller worn is hard particles inside material wearing on the surface caused by grinding process, the metal surface micro-cutting and carbide cracking, peeling off.
Differences between Casting Workpiece and Surfacing Workpiece
Over the years, the wear parts can only be replaced by new roller and casted plate. However, the casting to enhance the wear resistance by one material, while the casting process limit the content of such alloys. Therefore, the wear-resistant castings have never reached the maximum efficiency, the performance to be excessive damage, resulting in short service life of the workpiece. The harden surfacing can repair workpiece caused by over wear, it can also composite and manufacturing new products, the use of special wire can improve the performance makes a variety of metals easily been added to the workpiece after welding, performance is much better than casting performance.
