There are many problems in vertical mill operation, as long as the corresponding treatment measures well done, all failure can be prevent, or avoid, or minimize losses.
1. Grinding mill vibration

1.1.1 The impact of material layer
1.1.1.1 Reason and treatment of material layer
(1) Feeding volume is small. The amount of feed must be adapted to the mill capacity, when the feed volume is lower than the rated output, the material layer will gradually thinner, roller surface and the plate surface direct contact will caused vibration.
Treatment measures: immediately increase the volume of feed, appropriate reduces roller pressure, to recover the roller pressure when material layer stays about 50mm.
(2) When the material hardness is low, easy to be grinded while relatively high roller pressure, it still can cause empty pressure even if the thickness of material layer reaches up to30 mm ~ 50 mm which will causing vibration.
Treatment measures: appropriate to reduce the roller pressure, increase the amount of water, increase feed volume according to the mill.
1.1.1.2 Reason and treatment of material thickness
Feed volume is too large, while the material layer is thin, grinding plate will appear on the "plow material" phenomenon which to form an unstable material layer. The roller surface is contact directly with the plate surface while causing vibration.
Treatment measures: immediately reduce the roll pressure, reduce the feed volume, eliminate the "plow material" phenomenon, adjust the feed volume according to the material layer thickness.
