The influence of the classifier as equipment used in cement industry

The use of closed-circuit grinding is the inevitable trend of cement grinding process with the mill specifications to increase and the cement grinding requirements of energy-saving, high capacity, high quality. The necessary equipment for closed-circuit grinding is the classifier. The function of the classifier is to get out of the particles in a certain particle size. The powder itself does not produce fine powder, but because of the fine particles can be selected in a timely manner to avoid the grinding material within the cohesion, adhesion of grinding and sticky positions, it can reduce the over-grinding within the mill; to adjust the varieties of cement production, the production of high-grade cement, improve the efficiency of grinding.

The effect of the classifier on the working condition of the mill is mainly realized by the efficiency of the classifier, the cycle load rate and the grinding efficiency of the mill. Powder classifying efficiency is a technical parameter for the powder selection from fine powder. High efficiency powder classifying indicating that more fine powder can be selected out from output material, and closed-circuit grinding system mill capacity is expressed by the amount of fine powder selected, therefore, high efficiency classifying is conducive to improve the mill capacity.

Cycle load is too large, too many materials within the mill will all affecting the efficiency of grinding; cycle load rate reflects the cooperation of mill and the classifier. The cycle load rate is too high may indicating that the material to stay a short time inside the mill and the degree of grinding may be insufficient. Fine powder content is low; the increase of the mill capacity will be limited. If the cycle load rate is too low, the material stay too long inside the mill, qualified powder cannot be timely discharged, easy to cause over grinding phenomenon, resulting in reduced of grinding efficiency, affecting mill output. Therefore, mill must be operating under appropriate cycle load rate so that the mill's production and quality can be improved.

In reality, it has to ensure that the grinding capacity and the balance of powder classifying; Equipped with the classifier which has bigger capability than the mill grinding capability to achieve the match under normal circumstances. At present, many companies do not get a perfect grinding capacity of cement mill; one of the important reasons is that there is no reasonable match between grinding capability and classifying capability which should be taken for granted!
